Week of 3/28
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
This week in kindergarten, we talked about the letter V. Our two new words were also and good. At the art center, the children painted a butterfly and at the writing center, they drew a picture and wrote a story about it. At the math center, they did coin rubbings and practiced writing numbers to 20 and at the literacy center, they got their book bags and did a V paper. The children really enjoy getting their book bags. Please continue to have your child read the books at home and then return them to school by Monday. In math, we talked about practiced counting coins and talked about each coin and its value. We also talked about 3 dimensional shapes.
Next week, we will talk about the letter W and our two new words will be love and from. The children are responsible for spelling these words correct in his/her writing after we have learned them.
